You just cleaned the couch...
How is MORE of it there?!
They have a funny way of becoming part of everything.
Your morning routine. Your weekend plans. Your camera roll. Your furniture. Your budget.
And somehow, every piece of clothing you own. 😂
That’s a big part of what inspired The FurEver Friends Store.
I wanted to create a place for people who love their pets the way I love mine—not because they’re perfectly behaved, perfectly groomed little angels...
Because trust me.
Mine are not.
They’re funny. They’re messy. They have personalities bigger than the house.
And they’re family. ❤️
🐾 So, Why The FurEver Friends Store?
Because shopping for our pets should be fun.
I wanted a store with personality—a place where you can find something useful for a walk, something ridiculous that your dog might become obsessed with, something to make grooming easier, or something comfortable for the pet who believes sleeping is a full-time occupation.
A toy for a chewer.
A leash for a walk.
A brush for the fur...
And a bed for the one who says, “Shhh. We don’t talk.”
Okay, maybe our pets don’t actually say that.
Although around here, sometimes I wonder.
But more than anything, I wanted The FurEver Friends Store to feel personal.
And that’s where these three come in.
👑 Meet Duchess — Our Comfort Queen
Duchess likes snacks.
Duchess likes beds.
Mention a long walk...
She’ll pretend that she’s dead.
Okay, maybe not dead. 😂
But Duchess is our bulldog and our official Comfort Queen.
She’s goofy, she’s lazy, and if there’s a choice between an exciting adventure and a comfortable place to lie down...
Duchess has already gone back to bed.
She takes relaxation very seriously.
Duchess: “You call it lazy. I call it energy efficient.”
Fair enough.
😼 Meet Cat — Our Mischief Manager
A bump and a crash.
Something fell flat.
Who could have done it?
...
Definitely Cat.
Yes, his name is Cat. And Cat is our resident Mischief Manager.
He’s the prankster.
The sneaky one.
The one who can be standing directly beside the evidence and somehow still make you feel like further investigation is required.
Something knocked over?
Cat knows nothing.
Something mysteriously disappeared?
Cat wasn't there.
Something suddenly comes flying off a counter?
Cat: “Prove it.”
He's playful, mischievous, and usually just innocent-looking enough to get away with it.
Usually.
🐕 And Then There’s Kingsley — Director of Chaos
He digs and he chews.
He investigates trash.
He enters a room
like a seventy-mile dash.
That's Kingsley.
My young German Shepherd and our official Director of Chaos.
He's curious about everything.
Enthusiastic about everything.
And occasionally destructive toward...
well...
everything.
Kingsley is also one of our enthusiastic toy testers—a position he takes extremely seriously.
Kingsley: “It's a tough job. Send more toys.”
Nice try.
And oddly enough, all of Kingsley's adventures are part of what gave me the idea for this blog.
📖 Because Life With Pets Comes With Questions
Lately, I've caught myself asking things like:
Why does my dog keep digging holes?
Why does he keep getting into the trash?
Why does he want to chew everything I own?
And then there's the question every pet household eventually asks:
HOW CAN THERE POSSIBLY BE THIS MUCH HAIR?!
And I realized...
I can't possibly be the only pet owner asking these questions.
They dig.
They chew.
They shed on your shoe.
They get into things
you never thought they could do.
And somehow...
We still adore them. ❤️
So this little corner of The FurEver Friends Store is going to be about that too.
Not just products.
Life with pets.
🐾 Real Problems. Useful Answers. And Probably a Few Laughs.
We're going to talk about the funny parts.
The frustrating parts.
The “Please tell me somebody else's pet does this too” parts.
We'll look into why our pets do the things they do, share what we're learning, and find practical things we can try.
Sometimes we'll talk about a product that actually helps with the problem.
Sometimes we'll simply talk about the problem.
And sometimes...
I'm fairly certain Kingsley will BE the problem.
But that's life with pets, isn't it?
They're not perfect.
Neither are we.
And somewhere between the muddy paws, the fur-covered clothes, the squeaky toys, the midnight zoomies, and the occasional...
“WHAT ARE YOU EATING?!”
...they become our best friends.
Our family.
